A Quaint Location off the Beaten Path
Livermore is a small town off the beaten path in Northern California, about 45 minutes east of the San Francisco Bay Area. Livermore is a fairly small town, making it quaint and a great little spot for a piece of quaint serenity. This also makes it absolutely perfect for a wedding.
Livermore has so many amazing wineries to choose from. Like in Napa Valley, wineries are the main tourist attraction here. There is one that really sticks out though. It is called Murrieta’s Well. The building has an almost castle-like feel on the inside with the stone walls and elegant chandeliers. As you walk through the halls, it feels like you’ve gone back in time or have been transported to an enchanted and magical land.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love this venue more, I got a call to capture a wedding there!
Kim + Nathan
I wasn’t the only one completely encapsulated by this vineyard. When Kim and Nathan were looking for a place to get married, they booked this venue right away! From there, they began planning their wedding details.
They planned their ceremony and reception out, featuring the wine barrels of the vineyards. Their wedding colors were simple but bright, and they chose to keep the wedding small and intimate.
Luckily for everyone, November’s weather turned out to be perfect for their fall wedding. We started out at the Marriott Courtyard in Livermore and headed over to Murrieta’s Well after for some photos before the ceremony began. We got to take a little golf cart up the hill above the venue with all of our gear to take photos in the sun-swept vineyards! The ceremony took place right after sunset, which turned out to be perfect since the outside of the building had the most beautiful lighting.
To be completely honest, I was a little bit nervous when the couple requested a sunset wedding. I wasn’t sure how the lighting would turn out, but with the help of my great husband and assistant, the pictures turned out beautifully!
All in all, this wedding was absolutely gorgeous. Kim and Nathan were great to work with, and the sun setting over the gorgeous building made it a wonderful place for a wedding ceremony.
Thanks to all the vendors!
